Virtual Cooking Classes

We're all staying home, so let's cook together!

I’m very excited to invite you to join me for a 4 week virtual cooking class series where I'll teach you how to use basic foods to make nutritious and delicious plant-based meals. Through a series of live video classes you’ll learn how to make use of foods you likely already have in your fridge, freezer or pantry.

No matter where you live, you'll be able to join me in real time and we can cook together (or you can just observe) from our respective kitchens! You can ask questions and learn new cooking skills while you're watching.  If you can't make it for the live class, you'll receive a link to the replay.

Class Schedule & Menu:

  • Saturday, March 28 @ 2pm ET: Veggie Lasagna with Tofu Ricotta & Seed Parm. Hearty, protein rich and oh so good. This lasagna will become a staple in your home.

  • Saturday, April 4 @ 2pm ET: Hearty Veggie & Bean Soup. This humble meal is a classic in my home. We love simple soups that are not only delicious, but satisfying enough to count as a meal. This soup is exactly that.

  • Saturday, April 11 @ 2pm ET: Deconstructed Cabbage Roll Stew. All the of flavour of cabbage rolls with out the painstaking assembly. This is a quick and easy meal that deliciously showcases humble, nutritious and inexpensive foods like lentils and cabbage.

  • Saturday, April 18 @ 2pm ET: Amy’s Stovetop Maple Beans. This is a high protein, delicious, one-pot-wonder that’ll show you how a very simple dish can be so darn tasty.

Please note: all recipes are vegan, gluten free and, for the most part, can be modified to be allergy friendly. I will provide a wide variety of swaps and suggestions if you don’t have the exact ingredients for the recipe.

Participants will receive an email a few days prior to each class with the recipe, a list of ingredients (including swap suggestions) and kitchen eqiupment. The goal of this cooking series is to teach you how to use inexpensive, shelf stable items that you already have to limit trips to the grocery store since we’re all self isolating during the COVID-19 pandemic. Following each class you’ll receive the video recording.

Registration opens on Sunday, March 22 and closes Friday, March 26. Many of us, myself included, have lost a great deal of income in the past few weeks, and because of that I’m offering the 4 class bundle for only $39 + HST to ensure that it is accessible for everyone.
