In this interactive workshop, participants will have a chance to sample a variety of smoothies and juices featuring seasonal, local produce and other healthy sources of protein, fibre and fats. Participants will learn about the benefits of smoothies and juices and also learn the difference between the two — why sometimes a smoothie is better than a cold pressed juice, and vice versa.
During the workshop I will talk about the importance of nutrient density, including which proteins, fats and carbohydrates to include smoothies and also which local fruits and vegetables are the best for juicing. Participants will leave this workshop with recipes, ideas on how to use seasonal produce in either smoothies or juices, and an array of tips and tricks on how to make these super healthy and delicious drinks at home!
